Federation is dedicated to making a difference in our local and global community. Through your generosity, we are able to fund Jewish education and literacy efforts; community outreach programs; projects that support Israel, including a Sister City relationship with Sacramento; individuals with special needs; and the Jewish Community Relations Council. We reintroduced Jewish Family Service as a program of the Federation to provide a community social worker; a kosher food pantry; holiday outreach baskets; Leisure League senior programs; and support groups. Additionally, Federation continues to provide annual allocations to Shalom School, Sacramento’s only Jewish Day School; Hillel at Davis and Sacramento; and this year, we've added a new beneficiary agency, Hillel at Chico State University. Globally, we provide allocations to the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), which support Jews in need throughout the world.

LOCAL IMPACT
The Jewish Federation is dedicated to making a difference in our local community. Toward that end, Federation provides annual allocations to Hillel at Davis and Sacramento, Shalom School, and Hillel at Chico State University.

Shalom School is a Jewish community school that 1) embraces the concept of the uniqueness and individuality of each child, and 2) develops understanding and respect for Jewish tradition and the divergent modes of Jewish belief and practice.
Hillel at Davis and Sacramento is your College Jewish Resource Center providing the broadest range of educational, social, spiritual, and political Jewish opportunities.
Hillel at Chico State University creates fun and interesting Jewish programs that students are eager to attend.
