Local Impact

Federation is dedicated to making a difference in our local community. Through your generosity, we are able to fund Jewish education and literacy efforts; community outreach programs; projects that support Israel, including a new Sister City relationship with Sacramento; Jews with disabilities; and the Jewish Community Relations Council. In 2013, we reinstated Jewish Family Service, which provides a part-time community social worker, a kosher food pantry, deliver of holiday outreach baskets, and centralized senior programming. Plans for 2014 include facilitated support groups, customized community trainings, and short-term direct therapy. Additionally, Federation provides annual allocations to Shalom School, Hillel at Davis and Sacramento, and Hillel at Chico State University.
