Do your kids miss PJ Library books? Well, not for long! Introducing PJ Our Way, the newest chapter of PJ Library for 9-11-year-olds! This year our Federation was one of 24 communities selected for the national pilot program that takes PJ Library one step further by providing tweens with these exciting opportunities:
Monthly choice: Every month your child can choose one chapter book from a selection of four high-quality, Jewish-themed titles reviewed by a panel of PJ educators, parents, and kids. That's 12 books a year!
Creativity: Kids can read and write reviews as well as share ideas on a website that is safe and moderated by PJ educators.
Expand their Jewish identity: Tweens can continue learning about Jewish values, holiday, heroes, Israel, and more.
Connect with others: You and your children can learn about PJ Our Way activities and events happening here in Sacramento.
How is PJ Our Way Different from PJ Library?
Sign-Ups: When signing up, parents will be asked to verify their identity and then create an account with a log-in. You will receive a welcome book soon after!
Choosing Your Book: Once your subscription is approved, you’ll be able to come back to www.pjourway.org between the 1st-10th of each month to choose a new book, write reviews, and watch video trailers.
Email Reminders: You will receive three reminder emails from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation reminding you to select a book.
Book Delivery: You will receive your selected book approximately four to six weeks after you’ve made your monthly selection--just when you are making your next selection!.
PJ Our Way Blog: On the Parent's Blog, you can read summaries, discussion points, and content warnings for every book.
